SHADOWS FALL Guitarist MATT BACHAND Schedules More Acoustic Dates

May 27, 2006

SHADOWS FALL guitarist Matt Bachand has added more dates to his solo acoustic tour, which kicked off earlier in the week. Joining Matt at all dates is Mark Schwaber, a songwriter and musician from western Massachusetts.

Commented Bachand: "These will NOT be acoustic SHADOWS FALL shows. These are all original songs that I have written over the last several years. This is a side project I have been doing for well over 15 years now, before the days of SHADOWS FALL, and [these] dates are a great opportunity for me to have some fun and get my voice primed for the upcoming SHADOWS FALL tour. DO NOT expect to hear acoustic versions of metal songs, but if you like folk/acoustic type music or are just curious, come on down and have a drink with me! Joining me at all dates will be Mark Schwaber, a songwriter and musician from western Massachusetts whose new CD features a guest appearance by KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Joel Stroetzel, among others. Most of these shows I will be playing first so get there early if you want to check it out."

The record's sessions were again produced and mixed by longtime friend Zeuss (HATEBREED, GOD FORBID),at Planet Z Studios in the band's home state of Massachusetts. "Fallout from the War" is a must-have for the band's dedicated following as each of the album's eleven tracks is either a brand-new, original SHADOWS FALL track, an exclusive, brand-new cover song, or a newly re-recorded version of rare material from over the years.

"Fallout from the War" follows the group's most acclaimed disc to date, "The War Within", which originally debuted at No. 20 on The Billboard 200 chart. It has since gone on to sell over 250,000 units in the U.S. alone, and features the Active Rock hit and Grammy-nominated track "What Drives The Weak".
